open_scion
open_scion is an open-source source-control system designed for coding-agent workflows, implementing a server-centric design with normal Git repositories underneath. It provides server-side history and code search, compare-and-swap landing, agent-oriented review and security features, and optional conflict resolution through an LLM provider, deterministic tool, or no resolver.
What it does
Developers can use gitai to manage and land concurrent code changes from agents, CI jobs and other clients.

Evidence
6 claims- gitai provides server-side blame, path history, ancestry and code search. [1]
| **Source control as an API**: history runs on the server | Blame, path history, ancestry and code search run server-side and are memoized as derived data, computed once per commit.
GitHub new repositories. Quoted text is outside CC BY 4.0 and keeps its original rights. - Concurrent changes can be landed through batching and compare-and-swap updates without a merge queue. [1]
| **Landing without a merge queue** | `UserLand` rebases a change onto the current tip and lands it with a compare-and-swap; concurrent lands on one branch are batched into a single reference update.
GitHub new repositories. Quoted text is outside CC BY 4.0 and keeps its original rights. - Conflicting changes can be resolved by a user-selected LLM provider, deterministic tool, or no resolver. [1]
| **Automatic conflict resolution** | A conflicting land is resolved by a resolver you choose (any LLM provider, a deterministic tool, or none) through a versioned, vendor-neutral protocol.
GitHub new repositories. Quoted text is outside CC BY 4.0 and keeps its original rights. - The server can use SQLite or PostgreSQL and file, S3, GCS or Azure object storage. [1]
| **Storage core: a database and object storage, stateless servers** | Each change is a changeset in a write-ahead log in SQLite or PostgreSQL, with a compare-and-swap per reference; packs live in object storage (file, S3, GCS, Azure).
GitHub new repositories. Quoted text is outside CC BY 4.0 and keeps its original rights. - The repository identifies the current version as 0.4.0 and provides build and quick-start instructions.
- In the stated 50-agent benchmark, gitai landed 200 of 250 changes with batching off the table for the comparison described as classic; with the configured deterministic resolver, all 250 changes landed.
